How does the date difference calculator work?

It takes two dates and computes the full calendar span between them, reporting years, months, weeks, days, hours, and minutes simultaneously so you can read the span in whichever unit suits you.

How many days are between two dates?

The calculator counts every calendar day from the start date (exclusive) to the end date (inclusive by default), exactly like counting days between two events. Toggle options handle whether endpoints are included.

Does it account for leap years?

Yes. All calculations use real calendar dates, so February 29 in leap years is handled naturally, as are months with 30 versus 31 days.

Why does the day count differ from my manual count?

Manual counts often miscount endpoints. If you count both start and end days you add one extra; if you count neither you subtract one. The calculator is explicit about its convention for clarity.

Can I use it for project deadlines?

How It Works
